pseudonym for Joop van Egmond
Mond was born in Rijnsburg, the Netherlands, on July 28th 1943. Descendant from a middle class family, for which the interest in art and culture, especially music, was predominant. Painting was his great love during childhood, which became very apparent during his school years.

Expositie Mond in het Stadsmuseum Voorburg-Leidschendam.
Van 25 januari t/m 17 maart exposeert Mond een aantal recente ruimtelijke objecten in het Stadsmuseum van Voorburg. De kunstwerken zijn uitgevoerd in hoogwaardig RVS materiaal in combinatie met steen en brons. Deze tentoonstelling is een gezamenlijke expositie van hedendaagse beeldhouwers uit Den Haag en omstreken.
Openingstijden: woensdag t/m zondag van 13 tot 17.00 uur.

MVO Award, Rabobank Katwijk |
As part of the annual presentation of the MVO Award (for sustainable responsible business) Mond, on behalf of Rabobank, has designed an object of stainless steel and bronze. This 80 cm high object with the name "Bloei", was awarded on November 10 at the Congress Center Leeuwenhorst in Noordwijkerhout. |
