pseudonym for Joop van Egmond
Mond was born in Rijnsburg, the Netherlands, on July 28th 1943. Descendant from a middle class family, for which the interest in art and culture, especially music, was predominant. Painting was his great love during childhood, which became very apparent during his school years.

Lentepoëzie Museum de Zwarte Tulp |
Van 31 maart t/m 9 september organiseert Museum de Zwarte Tulp de tentoonstelling ‘Lentepoëzie’, de bolbloem bezongen in woord en beeld. Op deze tentoonstelling is ook werk te zien en te lezen van Mond. Verder is er een selectie van gedichten uit de Nederlandse,Engelse, Duitse en Franse literatuur te zien. Daarnaast zijn prenten te zien uit de zestiende eeuw en hedendaagse schilderijen. In Nederland is nog nooit een tentoonstelling geweest over bloemen in de poëzie.

As part of the annual presentation of the MVO Award (for sustainable responsible business) Mond, on behalf of Rabobank, has designed an object of stainless steel and bronze. This 80 cm high object, by the name "Bloei", was awarded on November 10th at the Leeuwenhorst Congress Center Noordwijkerhout (The Netherlands). |
